- 05We special order our trailers to be equipped with heavy duty running gear and the most robust capacities in the industry. Each trailer is unique regarding the maximum load it can handle and those values are published on each trailer. Generally speaking, our dump trailers (7x14 & 6x12) can handle 10,000 lbs, equipment trailers (7x20) can handle 11,000-12,000 lbs, and our enclosed trailers with tandem axles can handle approximately 4,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR) are typically published to reflect the axle size of the trailer. For example, our dump and equipment trailers have 7k axles and therefore carry a 14k GVWR. However, sometimes manufacturers add the weight sitting on the tongue and show an increased GVWR of 15k. trailer can be loaded to a maximum of 11,000 lbs. If the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer is 15,000 lbs, this means the combined trailer weight, plus load, must not exceed 15,000 lbs. Please ensure your tow vehicle is rated appropriately for this amount of weight plus the weight of the trailer.

- 10Every trailer is equipped with a spare tire. However, please do not attempt to change the flat yourself. Think of your safety and the safety of others first. Contact us and we can work to have it changed for you. You are responsible for damage to tires, but we do have replacements and can handle repair of the damaged tire. Inspect the trailer and tires before you leave our lot and start your rental period and periodically inspect the trailer and tires during your rental period to ensure safe operation. Please do not attempt to repair tires with plugs and contact us immediately if you have an issue with the tires.

- 14The 7x14’ dump trailer with 36" sides can hold 9-10 cubic yards. The 6x12 dump trailers with 36" sides can hold 7-8 cubic yards evenly distributed & covered. Refer to our reference documents section for more information on how much of other commonly hauled materials the trailer can hold. Hauling heavy materials such as concrete or brick is vastly different than mulch. For example, a cubic yard of concrete can weigh over 4000 lbs! Bricks weigh between 3400-3800 lbs per cubic yard. If you loaded just HALF of a trailer with concrete, you'd be overweight by 6000 to 10,000 lbs! In all situations, consult guides to help calculate how much you can safely load into or onto a trailer. Not only could you be jeopardizing road safety, but you could also bend axles, break trailer frames, and more annoyingly --- prevent the dump trailers from dumping! You don't want to be in the trailer manually moving material, the whole purpose of renting a dump trailer was to make your project easier!
